About Us
Dawn
Hampton is a woman of action. If you're having problems with
your medical insurance or you're simply overwhelmed, frustrated
or just don't have the time to deal with all the paperwork necessary
to process your claim, you'll want her on your side. She knows
from experience what you're going through.
Dawn's company, Ph.D. Organizational Services puts her personal
experience to work to help people process their insurance claims.
"I know what it's like being sick," says Dawn, "and
dealing with all these bills becomes very difficult when you're
emotionally involved in the illness."
While battling sinus cancer, Dawn learned first-hand that she
couldn't count on her insurance company to pay costly claims,
even if they were covered by her policy. She realized that no
matter how sick, frustrated or angry she was, no one could help
her sort out her bills.
In the midst of her medical struggle, she became her own advocate.
She quickly learned how confusing and complicated the insurance
industry is, how easy it is to get lost in the bureaucratic
maze, and how quickly claims are denied simply because of misinformation
and misunderstandings. But in spite of her illness, her persistent
spirit carried her through and she succeeded in getting what
was due to her.
It's not only individual patients who have difficulties with
medical insurance companies: doctors’ offices are swamped
by the sheer volume and complexity of the paperwork. So Dawn
expanded her business to work with doctors’ offices on
processing their medical insurance claims.
When the system breaks down and communication between the medical
provider and insurance company is just not working, the patient
usually suffers. Dawn’s company, Ph.D. Organizational
Services can help. "When information gets scrambled,"
says Dawn, "no-one will tell you what the problem is. Companies
think they can get away with things by denying your claims.”
With Ph.D. Organizational Services on your side, this won't
happen.
Dawn's extensive personal experience is supported by a Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Speech Communication, an Associate Science
Degree in Health Information Technology, and specialty certificates
in Medical Coding and Reimbursement from Santa Barbara City
College. She is a member of the Alliance of Claims Assistance
Professionals, the American Medical Billing Association and
the American Health Information Management Association.
